  • Installed 3 poultry watering cups in the new coop today, and every single one of them has a small leak. Will be great when they work! #
  • Just updated the home page of the farm website with a really cool panoramic picture of the farm! #

What type coop did you build and what kind of waters are you using?

  • If you look at the twitter update from March 22, 09 you can see the coop and an explanation of how it was built. We are trying out two different types of low pressure waterers. One is a little round dish that is primarily for chicks (our pullets are getting pretty big and are keeping this one dirty) and the other is little cups that mount on a 1/2 PVC pipe. The cups have a piece inside them that must be pushed by the chicken to get the water flowing. Maybe Chris can post what the actual brand name is? We think that the cups will be a great way to water in the coop either feeding the waterers from a bucket, or from a hose with a pressure reducer but the company that we bought them from has had less than great customer service.
